MMI Preparation Course

What is MMI?

Upon completion of the UCAT or UCAT ANZ exams, One Attempt is well-equipped to guide students through the application process for Medicine and Dentistry programs in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. In addition to the core services offered via our admissions counseling department, including university selection and shortlisting, document preparation, and application assistance, One Attempt will also coach students during the next step of the admissions process: the Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs). One Attempt offers its students full-length practice circuits, covering all possible scenarios and stations, in order to successfully prepare medical and dentistry school applicants for their interview process.

What are the MMIs?

  • The multiple mini interviews are interview formats used by over 30 medical schools in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
  • In addition to academic qualities, the MMIs aim to challenge applicants on a range of skills, such as problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, as well as critical personality traits, like empathy, honesty and integrity.
  • MMIs typically comprise between 8 and 10 stations, with each station lasting around 10 minutes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to act ethically in stressful situations, and confident decision-making capabilities are all essential to conquering the MMIs.
  • At One Attempt, we encourage students to practice as many circuits as possible with our admissions counselors, through unlimited interview preparation that teaches specific techniques required for each station type and offers valuable feedback after each practice session.
